Michael Civin, PhD, became a doctor of psychology in 1988 as he completed his doctoral program at Adelphi University’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. He earned his PhD in clinical psychology following two Masters degrees -- earned separately in 1970 and 1986 from different institutions, the University of Oregon and Adelphi University, respectively. And that followed his graduation from the prestigious Harvard College. This learned man with a PhD moved into practice and academia as a doctor, accumulating more than three decades of experience in psychology including delivering and teaching his published papers both domestically and internationally. Civin is the published author Male Female Email, an in-depth study on the impact of virtuality on society and psychology.

Today, Michael Civin serves as senior psychologist and co-founder of New York City’s Rose Hill Psychological Services, a professional psychotherapy practice founded in 2008. Additionally, he holds three offices of private practice in the area. His specializes as a psychoanalyst and has served in a wide variety of settings during his career, from inpatient and outpatient to addiction, adolescent day care, homes for adults and more. He treats adults, adolescents, couples and groups in his work.
