Rose Hill and Michael A. Civil, Ph.D.: Moving Psychology Forward

If there is a single thing that can be said about Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D., it is that he values education as a basis for his career. He started his education by graduating cum laude from Harvard in 1968 with an A.B. Degree. Then, in 1970, Dr. Civin attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He followed that by earning his first Master of Arts degree from the University of Oregon and then earned a second M.A., in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. He also earned his Ph.D. from Adelphi University. As if that wasn't enough, he completed a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993.

At various times in his career, Dr. Michael A. Civin was a professor, faculty member, and associate professor at several institutions of higher learning. Also, his writing has been published many times, in the form of journal articles and book chapters. Education is important to him; it is the basis for his career, which is still going strong after almost 30 years.

Currently, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D is a highly regarded clinical psychology specialist in the close-knit psychological services industry in New York City. He was a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services back in 2007, and he continues to practice there as a senior psychologist. In addition, Dr. Michael A. Civin, Ph.D also operated a private practice that serves patients in many areas of the city. Dr. Michael Civin treats new patients and some who have been around a long time and he does so with the greatest of care.
